If you own a Ring product, letting you know that your property is protected is probably the reason that you purchased. And the easiest way to know that it is protected is with an audible warning. With certain Ring products, unauthorized visitors will hear a message letting them know that they are being watched and recorded by the device.

When the Ring Motion Detector is triggered, the Ring device will play a message stating: “Warning! You are being monitored and recorded by Ring”. Keep in mind that the volume of this warning cannot be changed. If you wish to turn off this feature, simply go to your Device Dashboard and disable it. Even if you choose to turn this feature off, it will not affect your Motion Zone settings.

The Motion Warning is available for use with the following Ring Devices: Stick Up Cam Elite, Spotlight Cam Wired, Spotlight Cam Mount, Floodlight Cam, Ring Video Doorbell Pro, and Ring Video Doorbell Elite. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on the Ring Video Doorbell
