Ring 3 and Plus Doorbells To Be Released Soon

Ring updates their top selling Doorbell and adds a Plus Model

March 9, 2020

The Ring 2 Video Doorbell is the most popular smart video doorbell in the US, but has been on the market for quite a while and is long overdue for an update. The wait is almost over!

Ring is about to update it's top selling Smart Home Video Doorbell by releasing the new and improved Ring Video Doorbell 3 and a Plus model.

Both models will feature a new "near" motion zone that prevents false events past 15 feet, support 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi networks, feature an easier-to-remove faceplate and automatic chime connection to streamline the setup process.

The Ring 3 Video Doorbell Plus model includes Pre-Roll technology which allows you to see an additional 4 seconds of video before the motion event was even triggered – a first-to-market feature for battery-powered doorbells and unique exclusively to Ring. Pre-Roll video is in black and white and in low resolution to conserve your battery life.

The Ring Video Doorbell 3 will cost $199 and the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus will be $229.
